Sustainable Peckham. Working towards a cleaner, greener Peckham where local businesses and community groups support each other to be more sustainable in a thriving local community.

99.9% of all businesses in the UK are small to medium-sized and 96% of these are micro businesses, with just 0 – 9 employees. Often overstretched, micro businesses don't have the capacity to consider their environmental impact and climate as a priority, yet the sheer number of these businesses mean their combined impact could be huge.

Sustainable Peckham seeks to bring independent businesses together to collaborate to be more sustainable. Currently in its research phase, Sustainable Peckham is uncovering insights from local businesses through storytelling and open conversation.

A series of ‘What if Peckham?’ workshops and community consultation sessions will provide us with valuable learnings to share to ensure the entire community can benefit from the programme delivered with businesses and community groups.

This project is funded through crowdfunding from the Peckham community and matched funding from the Aviva Climate Fund.
